Ninja Force Zartan!

Check out this sweet custom Ninja Force Zartan by ska_lives!

So, here is part 1 of the recent set of figures a friend has asked me to make for him; Ninja Force Zartan. This figure was pretty simple to assemble, but had some surprising difficulties when assembling some of his accessories and details. The mohawk and jacket shoulder pads are sculpted on with green stuff, while the chain is an actual craft chain primed and painted. Im pretty happy about how this figure turned out. There are a couple spots that I need to go back and touch up now that I see the photos, mostly in the green areas, but all in all Im pretty happy.

Protectobots!

When I was a child, one of the first Transformers I remember having was Hot Spot. I eventually managed to acquire Streetwise and Groove from one of my cousins when he was trying to get rid of some of his Transformers. I never did acquire Blades or First Aid.

But now I’ve got all of the Protectobots . . . except Groove.

Girls of the Finest 2016!

The Girls of the Finest launched their crowdfunding campaign for the 2016 Girls of the Finest pinup calendar!

WE’RE BACK!

The Finest: A G.I. Joe Costume Club is thrilled to partner with the United Service Organizations (USO) for the second annual Girls of the Finest charity calendar!

Last year’s campaign was a huge success, and it demonstrated to the world just how powerful the G.I. Joe fan community can be when it comes to raising money for veteran and military-related organizations. Following last year’s success, we are absolutely determined to surpass that success this year!

So here’s the deal:

As you know by now, the Girls of the Finest charity calendar is no ordinary pin-up calendar. All your favorite female characters (plus a few twists) will be portrayed here – 12 months of our amazing female costumers photographed exclusively for this calendar!

As passionate as we are about G.I. Joe, we also know a good cause when we see one. The Finest is honored for the opportunity to partner with the USO, a nonprofit organization that has supported America’s troops and their families since 1941. One hundred percent of the net proceeds earned from this campaign will go to the USO.

This year’s cause is near and dear to our hearts. A significant portion of Finest members are active duty troops and veterans. Many of our own members and their families have directly benefited from the USO over the years, so being able to partner with this historic organization and give something back is an amazing opportunity!

What better way to come together as a fan community and support the Real American Heroes of the U.S. military and their families!

We Need YOU!

As excited as we are about this project, we can’t do it without YOU. Only through your donations will this calendar happen. Your contribution of $5 or more will allow us to:

• Compile all the calendar photography

• Design and produce the calendar and all associated perks

• Pay for printing and shipping costs of the calendar and perks

Also, we will be creating EXCLUSIVE content for this campaign that will only be available to those who donate here, including Girls of The Finest trading cards, postcards, patches, t-shirts and perhaps a few surprises!!! Just like last year, these will only be produced in limited quantities and once they’re gone, that’s it!

Everyone who donates $5 or more will receive an exclusive Girls of The Finest item. Anyone donating $25 or more will receive the calendar PLUS exclusive items! (See perks on the right for a complete list)

How to Get Involved

Donating funds is the #1 way to get involved but if you can’t contribute financially, that doesn’t mean you can’t help! We need everyone to help spread the word and make some noise about our campaign. Share our link on Facebook, Twitter or other social media. Let other G.I. Joe fans know what we’re doing and use the Indiegogo share tools to spread the word. Harness the power of the Internet to help us achieve our goal with the USO!

Get involved however you can – all help is appreciated!

* NOTE: We are happy to ship calendars and perks anywhere in the world! If you are in Canada, please add $7 to your donation to cover shipping. If you are outside North America, please email us with your location and we will let you know what additional shipping charges may apply.

The Impact You Make

The more funds we collect, the more funds will be going to the USO and to military personnel and families who need our help!  We want to be able to help out the men and women who sacrifice so much for us every single day. We value and appreciate their contributions and sacrifices and we want to show them how much they mean to us all.

This is a community call to action! Please join us, and together, let’s make a huge difference in the lives of military personnel and families!

Thank you!

NJCC Guest Announcement – Boss Fight Studio!

The New Jersey Collectors Convention is proud to announce that Boss Fight Studio will be attending the August 2nd, 2015 NJCC toy show! Boss Fight is comprised of several former Hasbro designers and a sculptor who all worked on fan-favorite action figure lines like Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars and Marvel Universe.

What is Boss Fight Studio’s and Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S.?

Highly Articulated – We believe that action figures are meant to be played with. If it doesn’t move, then it’s a statue. That’s why Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. figures are designed with poseability as a priority. Our 4″ base figure features at least 17 points of articulation, all with an excellent range of motion.

Make sure to head out to the NJCC 2015 Summer Show and say hi to the team from Boss Fight Studio!
