Just before the holiday break, Backflip Studios announced that its G.I.Joe: Strike Mobile Game would be going the way of the dodo bird. In the announcement, Backflip notes that G.I. Joe Strike will no longer be supported and will be removed from the App Store and Google Play beginning on December 23, 2017. Backflip Studios are also discontinuing support for the G.I. Joe Strike app as of January 23, 2018, which means that they will not be making any updates to the app’s content or functionality after that date.
If you still have G.I. Joe Strike installed on your device you can continue to play the game as usual. If at any point you uninstall the game, please be aware that you will not be able to reinstall it from your app store. Any purchases you’ve made in G.I. Joe Strike will remain available to use in the game, but it will not be possible to make new purchases starting on January 23, 2018.
The announcement ends with the entire Backflip Studios team thanking all of you, their loyal players, for your support of G.I. Joe Strike. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the support team directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
