Ninja Force Zartan!

Check out this sweet custom Ninja Force Zartan by ska_lives!

So, here is part 1 of the recent set of figures a friend has asked me to make for him; Ninja Force Zartan. This figure was pretty simple to assemble, but had some surprising difficulties when assembling some of his accessories and details. The mohawk and jacket shoulder pads are sculpted on with green stuff, while the chain is an actual craft chain primed and painted. Im pretty happy about how this figure turned out. There are a couple spots that I need to go back and touch up now that I see the photos, mostly in the green areas, but all in all Im pretty happy.

Recipe:
Head: ROC Zartan w/ sculpted Mohawk
Torso/ upper arms/ Upper legs: POC Desert Storm Shadow
Lower arm right: POC Desert Storm Shadow w/ sculpted arm guard
Lower arm left: Ret. Kwinn
Hand right: DG Storm Shadow
Hand left: Ret. Ult. Flint
Lower legs: POC Rock Viper

Accessories
BP: Ret. SS w/ added hooks (handle of Ren. wv. 2 RB gun thingy) to hold bow
Swords: ” ”
Bow: DG SS w/ string
Small Blades: Ret. Lady Jaye
Thigh Sheathes: Ren. Firefly sheath cut w/ figure bands from packaging
Machine pistol: 25th Mutt

Dusty by ska_lives!

Our very own ska_lives posted images of his modern take on G.I. Joe’s desert specialist, Dusty!

So after thinking long and hard about what to call this fellow, I figured I would just name him after my FAVORITE joe, Dusty. Im a touch of a purist when it comes to dusty and if the figure doesnt meet certain criteria it will not be considered Dusty to me. These i will not really delve into, because it would take forever. Lets just say that, even with the beard, I feel that this would be a possible modern-ish incarnation of the character. Mostly he was an experiment with modding BBI parts, and doing a different style of camo painting, let me know what you think!

JoeCon 2015 Custom Class Robo Joe Revealed

More tidbits are coming in from JoeCon 2015, this time around from the JoeCon Custom Class! Thanks to Mr. Steven Tucker from JoeCustoms, we now have our first image of this year’s custom class figure, Robo Joe! Well, in this instance, we see the bits to assemble Robo Joe, but I’m sure we’ll see him assembled and in full glory soon enough! Robo Joe was a member of Star Brigade from the A Real American Hero days, so it’s great to see a character from that subgroup finally get some modern era love!

EDIT: We’ve got a look at a carded version of RoboJoe from Alyosha‘s customizing class at JoeCon, and and Patrick Stewart was kind enough to share his completed RoboJoe!
