RAHC Guide Volume 4 GI Joe Con Exclusive

The great folks at R.A.H.C. Guide have announced via their Facebook Page that they will have an exclusive version of their R.A.H.C. Guide Volume 4 at the upcoming G.I. Joe Con

The best part? You can submit your old G.I. Joe Con photos to be featured in the exclusive release!

The Rank & File volume 4 will be at GIJoeCon (Official) 2018 in a show exclusive format that could include YOU! This exclusive will include four “blank” pages for you to share your G.I. JOE YEARBOOK memories and remember Joe Cons of the past. This purchase will also include a custom Rank & File sharpie for each other to share.

Now the best part! Send in your old show photographs and they could be featured in this exclusive piece!!! USE THE DROPBOX LINK PROVIDED to upload photos and if the quality and content is acceptable (sorry, keep it PG 13ish I understand I am the one asking this), and you will be featured on one of two splash pages. Placement will be on a first come, first served basis so hurry! Original, full sized shots work best. I need these photos by Monday June 4th to meet print deadlines.

This show exclusive will be different than the widely released Rank & File vol. 4 so be sure to make this a priority at Joe Con!!

*post in the comments if the link is having issues. You should just be able to drag and drop.

Adam Riches Special exclusive Baroness variant cover for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #252

Adam Riches let us know that a special variant cover for G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #252 will be released at JoeCon.

Attention G.I. Joe fans!
I’m excited to announce the release of a special exclusive Baroness variant cover for IDW Publishing’s G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #252, I’ve created in collaboration with WONDERWORLD COMICS, to be released at GIJoeCon (Official) (June 21-24) in Chattanooga, TN!

For those of you unable to attend JoeCon, it is my understanding WonderWorld will be offering a limited number of pre-sale copies for non-attendees (details on that as soon as I have them). Of course, if you are attending JoeCon (you really should be), both myself and Larry Hama will be in attendance to sign copies throughout the show, and bonus: The back cover features a brand-new COBRA logo blank, just begging to be sketched on. 😉
See ya in Chattanooga

Cobra Island Invades East Coast Comic Con 2018

This past Saturday I had the pleasure to attend the 2018 East Coast Comic Con. Among those in attendance were the great Larry Hama, Michael Golden, Mike Zeck, Mark Pingitore (of G.I. Jokes fame) and many more talented people who have worked on our beloved G.I. Joe over the years.

It was quite a fun atmosphere with friendly fans. I was able to secure the “Great Lakes Comic Con” Variant of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #224 and have it signed in person by both Writer Larry Hama and Cover Artist Mike Zeck. I also got some awesome prints signed by Mike Zeck and Michael Golden. I met a fantastic artist and bought a couple of amazing G.I. Joe/Cobra Prints from artist George Vega.

There were tons of dealers with more comics than you could imagine. Unfortunately for me, I have been in search of a couple of series that don’t fall into the Superhero genre, so they were impossible to find at this convention. If you were looking for Superhero books though, this was the place. I saw books from the 1940’s right up through to today, along with pages of original comic book art for sale.

The TV Celebrity guests included the cast of “Starsky and Hutch“, Butch “Eddie Munster” Patrick, Mickey Dolenz of “The Monkees”, Lee Meriwether (Catwoman in the 1960’s Batman), David Yost (The Original Blue Power Ranger) and some famous TV Cars, like the Batmobile, The Munster Mobile and a few screen-used Gran Torino’s from “Starsky and Hutch”.

The lines for most signings were quite reasonable. The only line that was absolutely insane was that of Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos. With the villain shattering box office records in this past weekend’s release of “Avengers: Infinity War”, that was no surprise.

To sum it all up, it was a fantastic day full of fun, meeting other fans, meeting creators and just hanging out with many like-minded individuals. I can’t recommend the experience enough.

We’ve gathered a gallery of images from the event, so make sure to read more below to see first hand shots from the Convention. Get in in the #ECCC2018 discussion in progress on the Cobra Island Forums.
