John Royle Shares Sneak Peek of IDW Publishings G.I.Joe RAH 249 Variant Cover

By way of John Royle’s Instagram Account comes this fantastic Sneak Peek of the variant cover for IDW Publishing‘s G.I.Joe RAH #249. John also gave us a close up of the Baroness in all her Glory!

The cover is stunning, showcasing so many G.I.Joe fan favorites – Flint, Lady Jaye, Beachhead, Zartan, the Baroness, Cobra Rattler, Cobra Viper and more. John notes that he really had a ball drawing this one with a bit of a homage to Drew Struzan’s beautiful montage style movie posters. Great Inks by Jagdish and cool colors from James Offred.

Modern Army Action Figures, G.I. Joe Newspaper Ad 1982-1989 by Philip Reed

There’s a big update to share from Philip Reed’s G.I. Joe Newspaper Ad Kickstarter Campaign before he heads out of town. The printer has completed the books and Philip  should have all of the hardcovers waiting for him on Monday, October 9. He’ll prep the packages throughout the week, and on October 14 start shipping out the books.

His goal is to ship all books before he leaves for Europe on October 20, but that may not be possible. He’ll post an update next week when he has a better understanding of how the packing/shipping is going.

There are six backers who have not yet completed their surveys. On October 11, one week from today,  Philip will issue refunds to any of those six who have not yet completed surveys. If you’re one of the six, please handle your survey ASAP so that he can ship you your rewards. He’d much rather send you books than send a refund.
