Eagle Force Pulp: The Cat in Face the Night Kickstarter Campaign Update

There’s a couple of fantastic new goals that have been added to the latest Eagle Force Pulp Novella Kickstarter campaign from The Drawn Word. Lee Fine, aka The Cat, must deal with both the R.I.O.T. Direktor and Baron Von Chill, in Lee Fine’s latest adventure, Face the Night!

For you card collectors, a Sketch Card level was added that features both the Cat and Face cards! Go at it! Or, maybe you’d rather be immortalized in print? Here’s how to get in:

  • Increase your pledge by $25 to not make it through alive!
  • Increase your pledge by $50 to get mutated!
  • Be sure to email Chris (TheDrawnWord) and let him know that’s what your pledge is for.

So what are you waiting for? Go get your pledge in, or for many of us, increase your pledge and be a part of Eagle Force history! We’re talking all about it on the Cobra Island Forums , so join us after the break to get in on the fun!

Collecting the art of G.I. Joe: Volumes 5, 6 and Slipcase are a GO

It’s done! We did it! With your help 3D Joes will be able to complete the mission of documenting every piece of G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero painted art released from 1982-1994 in the United States!

So now that Volumes five, six and the slip cover have been funded, what’s next? The money raised above goal will go to two places:

  • Volume 6 (1993-1994) needs more great art, and it won’t be cheap! (more on that below)
  • Volume 3 (1986-1987) will be reprinted to fill all Kickstarter orders and keep these books in print for G.I.Joe fans both old and new

Carson shared a full breakdown that you can read after the break below. Included in the breakdown are details on what volume 6 will include and fans are gonna love it! There will be 20 pages of unreleased and international art in Volume 6. We realize this will only be a drop in the bucket relative to all of the art created around the world to support our favorite toy line, but it will be an interesting cross-sectional survey and hopefully it will inspire some of you to collect international Joes. To give you an idea of what we’ll see, check out this out –

Cryptid Toys Super Articulated Action Figure Blanks Kickstarter Campaign Update

Our friends from Cryptid Toys have shared an update regarding their Super Articulated Action Figure Blanks Kickstarter Campaign. Here’s the scoop:

Things are still moving along nicely and since many of you have been asking where the BackerKit surveys are, and when the pre-order store for those who were not part of the campaign will open, this update will answer those questions.

The BackerKit Survey (for Kickstarter backers) where you will specify which figures you want to receive, and can also add more to your order will go out in mid-January. The folks at BackerKit have been super helpful in getting this set up in a way that makes the most sense and is easiest for everyone to respond to. The pre-order store front (for non-backers) on BackerKit will open the same time the surveys get sent to backers.

The only little bit of bad news is that there were 21 backers who never updated their payment methods on file, and therefore Kickstarter automatically cancelled their pledges. One of these was a rather large pledge so all together, this did knock the funding amount received down by several thousand dollars.

Because of this, the vote to see which remaining stretch goals will not be held, but rather there will be 4 stretch goals available to be unlocked during the BackerKit period. Those will be (in this order): Relaxed hands, Bare feet, White Male, and Silver Male. If your favorite stretch goal did not make it, I apologize but there will be more opportunities for those in the future.

There you have it! We’ll keep you posted as Austin and the team from Cryptid Toys share more details. Until then, join us after the break on the Cobra Island Forums for discussion already in progress!

Eagle Force Pulp: The Cat in Face the Night Now Live on Kickstarter

The latest Eagle Force Pulp Novella from The Drawn Word is now live on Kickstarter! Lee Fine, aka The Cat, must deal with both the R.I.O.T. Direktor and Baron Von Chill, as the world grows more dire…

In Lee Fine’s latest adventure, Face the Night, he comes face to face with a monstrous legend–

Then, the figure fully emerges from the shadows, and the assassin screams in terror.

All Vito can make out is orange hair as the hitman’s scream of shock turns into several ones of pain, punctuated by the sound of breaking bones.

Triumphant, the orange-haired figure stands over what’s left of the assassin, gloved fists clenched by its side. Suddenly, it has turned to face Vito. Green skin, white eyes encircled with dark circles, and a rictus-like grin with dripping fangs coming out from under the top lip. “Be cool, Vito,” this…face says. “And get out of town.”

It’s 1980 and Lee Fine has finally become comfortable with the life of a secret operator. Fine’s world does, however, continue to change, as Baron Von Chill rises to prominence in diplomatic circles and the mysterious Direktor continues his nefarious plans.

Amidst all of it, The Cat encounters a crimefighter from the past, who has a link to a covert military group in World War II. Face the Night brings the world closer to where it needs an Eagle Force. Read it here first.

You can get your pledge in on the 3rd Eagle Force Pulp offering here: Eagle Force Pulp: The Cat in Face the Night Now Live on Kickstarter. Once you get your pledge in, join us on the Cobra Island Forums for discussion already in progress!
