Eagle Force: The Cat in Seize the Castle Kickstarter Update #3

Eagle Force: The Cat in Seize the Castle from our friends at The Drawn Word flew right past initial funding, reaching their goal in less than 24 hours! As such, new stretch goals have been added to the campaign –

$700 USD – The Cat: Seize the Castle gets funded!
$1,000 USD – Seize the Castle gets two character illustrations from Artist Kevin Roberts!
$1,500 USD – An additional Eagle Force Mega short story, starring The Cat is added!

The campaign is just $200 shy from hitting the 1K tier. Seeing that we’re so close, the characters that will be represented have been revealed!

Mastiff and Tarantula, aka the Bossman and the Butt-kicker!

We’re so close to unlocking these two awesome character cards, so make sure to spread the word on the Eagle Force: The Cat in Seize the Castle Kickstarter campaign!

Eagle Force HQ – When Enemies Meet

A new transmission has been received from Eagle Force HQ! Check out the details below –

Enter Baron Von Chill

The Cat: Seize the Castle gives you your first in-continuity meeting between Lee Fine and Baron Von Chill. Pick up where Eight Lives Left, as Fine tries to pick up the pieces of his conscience, and as he’s dragged back into his quest for vengeance over the events in New York.

It launches at noon TODAY on Kickstarter! The campaign will run for only 10 days, so don’t miss out!

In other Eagle Force news, the Goldie Hawk photo cards are due at the printer. The Drawn Word will pick them up tomorrow and work towards getting them out to backers next week. I think they’re going to be worth the wait!

Finally, Eagle Force Legends Pack #2 is still waiting on the Monster Force metal card from that printer. They gave The Drawn Word a time frame of within the next two weeks. As soon as those arrive, they’ll go out, as well.

Modern Army Action Figures, G.I. Joe Newspaper Ad 1982-1989 by Philip Reed

There’s a big update to share from Philip Reed’s G.I. Joe Newspaper Ad Kickstarter Campaign before he heads out of town. The printer has completed the books and Philip should have all of the hardcovers waiting for him on Monday, October 9. He’ll prep the packages throughout the week, and on October 14 start shipping out the books.

His goal is to ship all books before he leaves for Europe on October 20, but that may not be possible. He’ll post an update next week when he has a better understanding of how the packing/shipping is going.

There are six backers who have not yet completed their surveys. On October 11, one week from today, Philip will issue refunds to any of those six who have not yet completed surveys. If you’re one of the six, please handle your survey ASAP so that he can ship you your rewards. He’d much rather send you books than send a refund.

Animal Warriors of the Kingdom Unpainted Factory Samples In Hand!

Our friends from Animal Warriors of the Kingdom have just shared a new update via the AWOK Kickstarter Campaign Page. Here’s the scoop:

Unpainted Factory Samples!

We woke up to a great email full of unpainted factory samples from China! China will be having a national holiday from the 2-8th of October so the factory will ship these samples for us to look over the sculpt and engineering and make notes before we move onto the really fun color painted samples!

Once the samples arrive stateside we will take more photos and possibly post a video as well. This is a very important step in the production process and from the photos, we are very pleased with very few notes for the factory.

Backer Kit

We are closing in on unlocking Scraps for pre-order and will make him available to add to your order as soon as that goal is reached.

Hell Screamerz Kickstarter Campaign Project Update 21 Now Available

Great news to share for those of you that got in on the Hell Screamerz Kickstarter Campaign from Sunok Studios, LLC. Check it out –

Just a small update. The factory has made the few small adjustments that we requested and are in the process of printing out a small initial run to paint up as samples. We expect the printing to be done by this coming Tuesday and painting to be completed within a few days after that.

As soon as the factory takes photos of these samples they will ship them out. The second these photos become available we will move onto the next phase…

…and that is where we come to the Backer Kit. We expect to have the Backer Kit up and running no later than Monday October 9th.

As our very own C.I.A.D. reported over at HISS Tank, he received a sample of the Accufoil Softcover Proof of Collecting the Art of G.I. Joe vol. 2!

Our good friend 3DJoes stopped by to share the Accufoil Softcover Proof for Collecting the Art of G.I.Joe: Volume 2 (1984-1985) and it is absolutely fantastic! That’s not the best news, though – Posters are now shipping to all Kickstarter backers! Miss the Kickstarter? Stay tuned because all leftover posters and books will go live on the 3DJoes store by January 1, 2016!

In related news, Collecting the Art of G.I.Joe: Volume 2 (1984-1985) is now available for download from the iBooks and iTunes store! The Collecting the Art of G.I.Joe: Volume 2 (1984-1985) iBook is interactive! On each character and vehicle page you will see a clickable blue star. These stars link out to the corresponding page on 3DJoes so you can check out the spins, file cards, full cardbacks, vehicle boxes, etc. How cool is that?!

David McCauley of The Outer Haven posted an article called “7 Kickstarter Projects That Prove The Toy Industry Is Evolving!”

The article gives a nod to the Marauder Task Force: Valkyries (a favorite toy line, among Cobra Island staff), IAmElemental (an awesome toy line, featuring female superheroines with realistic body images), and the highly anticipated Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. along with a whole bunch of other awesome toy lines!

The folks behind Action Figure Archival Trays have announced that the first 50 backers will get a free color background for every four trays they buy!

Our first 50 backers will get one sheet of professionally printed heavy card stock backing for every 4 trays ordered (Reward 3 and up), adding flair to your tray display! Simply cut and insert! If you have already pledged 4 trays or more, you don’t need to do a thing…these will be included with your reward.
